Children’s art classes return April 21
The Oliver Sagebrushers are promoting Children’s Art classes. The next semester will begin Saturday April 21 and running for 6 weeks.
Leza Macdonald is instructing the classes and accompanied by another Sagebrusher. To enroll the children between the ages of 4-19
Please contact Leza at leza@eastlink.ca or Sally at sagebrushsal@hotmail.com. The spring weather will allow us to get started on more murals.
The Quail’s Roost Art Gallery at Rustico Farm and Cellars Winery will be open to the public for Easter. We will be celebrating our first anniversary in May.
New members to the Oliver Sagebrushers are always welcome. Adults, feel free to drop in on Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon at the Quail’s Nest Arts Centre on Airport Street (95th St.) or children with ;parents on Saturdays 9 a.m.

Art classes resume for children and teens
The Oliver Sagebrushers are ready to start the second semester of Children’s Art classes. Classes run every Saturday from March 3 – March 31.
Ages 4 – 7 years : 9 – 10 a.m. $5.00 per session
Ages 8 – 12 years: 10.30-12 $10.00 per session
Ages 13 – 18 years: 1-2.30 p.m. $10.00 per session
Fees include supplies.
March 31 will conclude with a Reception and Art Show.
The classes will be instructed by Leza Macdonald accompanied by a member of the Sagebrushers. Leza is a skilled, energetic and fun art teacher. Kids will enjoy discovering their talents under her tutelage. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and learn along with their child.
Classes are kept to between 10 and 12 participants.

Evening Fine Art Classes at Quail’s Nest
School students and working adults will appreciate a new set of fine art classes beginning this fall at the Quail’s Nest Arts Centre.
Instructor Steve Staresina hopes the Thursday evening lessons will appeal to those busy during the day. Each class includes a 45 minute lesson, followed by up to an hour and 45 minutes of creative time. Paint, draw, or sketch among other artists in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Beginners will benefit from supportive coaching from the instructor as well as the more experienced participants.

Media Taught: Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Charcoal, and Pencils
Subjects: Landscapes, Portraits, and Still Life
Start Date: Thursday September 10, 2009
Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
Lessons: 7:00 – 7:45 p.m.
Creative Time: 7:45 – 9:30 p.m.
