OUR MISSION
To increase the public’s awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the arts by providing public performances, educational seminars, and arts festivals.
Programs and Services
We can provide facilities, funding, publicity, promotion and volunteers for Oliver Arts Events such as:
- Arts and Culture Week (April)
- Music in the Park (concert series, July – August)
- Open House
- Art AdVenture Children’s Program
- Swap Meet
- Oliver Creates – Formerly FASS (September) – Volunteer
- occasional concerts and coffeehouses
Art Learned * Art Loved * Art Lived

What Volunteers Do
- plan, organize, and publicize arts events (e.g. exhibits, concerts) throughout the year
- maintain the Quail’s Nest Arts Centre (renting, cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping)
- administration of arts council business (executive officers, board, committees)
Volunteer Opportunities
- serving on arts events committees to plan and run public arts events
- set up, ushering, and take down of arts events
- occasional secretarial duties: photocopying, filing, archiving, data entry
- publicity: newsletter editor, graphic design and ad building, website reporter, website maintenance
- maintenance and grounds keeping of the Quail’s Nest Arts Centre
- serving on the arts council board of directors (annual election in February)
