Hey Stitchers!!

We had an overflow from the first class so we’re going to offer a second class.  If the dates didn’t work for you in March then hopefully our second offering will work out better!! As we already have seats filled from the first offering please get back to me asap and book your spot!!

Super excited to offer a SECOND Art Quilting workshop in APRIL!!

This is a 2 day workshop, Friday, April 10- & Saturday, April 11 from 10am – 4pm both days
To be held at The Quail’s Nest Art Center on Airport Rd, Oliver

Cost for the 2 days $200.00

Gisela has come out of retirement for us!!  She is an amazing fiber artist who has honed and reinvented the technique of Art Quilting.  Even if you’ve tackled this artform before we know you’ll learn a few more tricks and techniques as Gisela walks you through her process.

She’ll help guide you from picking the right photo to finishing techniques and everything in between.

Class is limited to 6 (possibly 8) people so get back to me quick!!
To register email me back (lynn@ujvary.ca), I’ll reply letting you know you have a space and then a non-refundable e-transfer to lynn@ujvary.ca secures your spot.  If for some reason you’re not able to make it I will try to fill your spot for you.

Collage landscape with Gisela Carroll

Course Description and Supply List

Class description

In this class you will learn how to make a collaged landscape using a few different fusible stabilizers. There will be a brief overview of colour and value.  The landscape will be created using your own photograph.

Suitable Photographs

Choose a landscape photograph that does not have too much detail.

If you have several to choose from and you are unsure of which one to use it may be helpful to send me an email with the images and I will advise which one may be most suitable for this process. My email is sonic17@telus.net .

The landscape can be used as a background and then added to, and/or embellished

Supply List

Aim to make your piece approx.. 18 x 24 inches. You will probably not have enough time to do a piece larger than that. Also, make sure that it is not too small as it will be harder to do.

Please DO NOT bring your sewing machine
