Music in the Park opens with Brakemen

Summer is here and it’s time to come to the Park and enjoy the music in this annual programme of the Oliver Community Arts Council. Music in the Park has been well-attended for many years. The Riverside Patio of the old CPR Station (Oliver Visitor Centre) has proven to be a favorite site for the audience and the musicians. There is ample parking, also an easy walk from the Town and the R.V. park.

Music in the Park begins July 5th and runs every Thursday evening until August 23rd. The musicians play from 6.30-8 p.m. Admission is by donation and greatly appreciated by the Arts Council. We suggest a minumum donation of $3. Your donations provide the Arts Council with the monies to enable these concerts that bring hours of enjoyment. Bring some extra cash for desserts and beverages on site, or to buy a performer’s CD!

Every year, the Music in the Park committee provides the audience with a diverse selection of performers and a new musical event every week. This year, the musicians featured are from the South Okanagan with special guest performers from Vancouver.
