The Desert Sage Fibre Arts Guild is hosting a Beginning Weaving workshop at the Quail’s Nest on Saturday March 8th and March 15th. Registration for this workshop is full, but you can see what else is coming up on their website: Desert Sage Fibre Arts Guild.
Desert Sage started in 1977 and is proud of its almost 50-year history as a teaching guild. Workshops and classes from beginner’s weaving to advanced spinning, knitting, felting and dyeing are offered through the year. Join them on Thursdays, September to June, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. at the Oliver Community Centre Hall. Thursday drop-ins are fun and a great way to socialize. The hall fills with looms and spinning wheels while rug hookers, felters and knitters sit at tables, chatting and working on their projects. Everyone is welcome.
