Two local fibre arts groups, the Desert Sage Spinners and Weavers and the Double O Quilters, return to their regular schedule of activities this September. Consider joining one or both of these talented guilds. Beginners are always welcome. As one new fibre artist mentioned recently, “I couldn’t believe I was working with all this talent around me — and they still took time to teach me and share their love of the craft!” Both groups have amazing teachers and skilled artists on hand to help you along and inspire you.Desert Sage Spinners & Weavers Thursdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. beginning Sept 6 Oliver Community Centre desert.sage.weavers @ gmail.com
Their Fibre Arts Festival (formerly “Slow Fibre Festival”) has been drawing crowds since it was initiated a couple of years ago.
